My Journey

I have been travelling within India long enough to know that the country does not reveal itself in one go. It gives you pieces, one trip at a time, and the more you see, the more you understand how much is still waiting. I have always preferred slow travel. The kind where you sit with a place long enough for it to show you something it does not show everyone.

I am, at my core, a mountain person. The altitude does something to my thinking that flat land cannot replicate. But I am also someone who will drop everything for a beach, a quiet one, especially in the rain. I chase lighthouses the way some people chase sunsets, which tells you something about the kind of traveller I am. I like the edges of things. Coastlines, ridgelines, the places where one landscape ends and another begins.

India is that kind of country. The more you see, the more the list grows rather than shrinks. I intend to keep going, climbing, standing at edges I have not stood at yet. The limits, I have found, tend to move every time you reach them. That is the only kind of travel worth doing.
